More on MageBridge
June 01st, 2009
As mentioned in an earlier blog post, we have been keeping up with the latest news about the upcoming MageBridge to be launched by Yireo that will integrate Joomla! and Magento. It seems there has been even more news about it recently, including an actual Announcement Date of June 12th. We know many Joomla! users looking for an alternative to VirtueMart will be happy about that.
MageBridge is designed to be very easy to use. MageBridge picks up the Magento theme (which still needs to be configured) and drops it into Joomla!, which for instance enables you to move a Magento-block (or a Joomla! module) with a few mouse-clicks. Also the MageBridge backend is filled with easy-to-use features like one-click-upgrades, dropdown-boxes filled with values fetched from the other side of the bridge and troubleshooters.
